POLICIES

ARRIVAL

Please aim to arrive at your scheduled appointment time with clean/makeup-free eyes and lashes. There will be a fee of $10 for eye makeup removal. There is a 10-minute grace period. Clients arriving outside of the 10-minute grace period will be charged a $10 late fee and your appointment may have to be rescheduled.

 

CHANGING YOUR APPOINTMENT

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to reschedule/cancel a booked appointment without penalty. If you cancel/reschedule with less than a 24-hour notice, or do not show up for your appointment you forfeit your deposit. *When reaching out in regards to your appointment please call/text 704-343-6400. Messages via social media or email may not always be checked and responded to right away. Deposits are non-refundable. When canceling/rescheduling with at least a 24hr notice the deposit can be transferred only once and used as a credit towards another service.

 

SICKNESS OR FAMILY EMERGENCY

If you, or another person in your household, has an infectious or contagious illness, please contact us at least 24hrs prior to your scheduled appointment time to reschedule your appointment for a later date. For your safety and that of staff and other clients, please do not come to your appointments sick. If it is assumed you are currently sick, your appointment may be cut short or canceled and rescheduled for when you are healthy again. 

 

CANCELLATION + NO SHOW

As a courtesy, appointment reminders are sent out 48 hours before your scheduled appointment via text and email. If you cancel/reschedule with less than a 24-hour notice, or do not show up for your appointment you forfeit your deposit. (If you did not pay a deposit at the time of booking and you reschedule/cancel with less than a 24-hour notice or do not show up for your appointment, your credit card on file will be charged a fee of 40% of the scheduled service/services total)

 

LASH & NAIL FILLS

Fill prices are based on a 40% requirement. If you have less than 40% of your lashes remaining or it has been 4 weeks or more since your last service, a full set will be required and will be charged at the full set rate. We welcome clients coming from other lash studios with an existing set of classic eyelash extensions but ask that you allow for more time to examine your lashes and remove any that don't meet our standards. In some cases, removal and a full set will be required. *At this time we do not perform fill services on volume or designer sets that were done with another salon.*

 

Nail Fills:

We welcome clients coming from other nail salons with existing acrylic nails on, but ask that you allow for more time to examine your nails to ensure that the quality of work meets our standards. In some cases, removal and a full set will be required. If you have more than 2 nails missing, you will be charged for a full set instead of a fill.

 

Eyelash Extension Aftercare

The longevity of my eyelash extensions requires your careful maintenance. I understand that using unapproved mascara ( we recommend using NovaLash mascara) on a regular basis can shorten the length of time my extensions remain in place. I also understand and have been advised not to use waterproof mascara on my NOVALASH Eyelash Extensions. Pulling on your lashes or using mechanical curlers or crimping lashes in any way is not recommended while wearing eyelash extensions.

 

AFTER HOURS APPOINTMENTS

Certain circumstances and seasons may leave you in a panic to squeeze in a last-minute lash appointment that is outside of our normal business hours. After-hours appointments may be available on a case-by-case basis for an additional $30 fee. Please contact us directly via Modesthetics.com, phone, or email to schedule your after-hours appointment.

 

GUEST POLICY

Mod Esthetics offers a soothing environment for our clients. Keeping that as our focus; we do not allow children or other adults not receiving service in the lash studio. You must be  18 or older to receive service. The youngest we are able to service is 16 years old. (If under 18 you must be accompanied by a consenting parent who can sign the release form)

 

PAYMENT/GRATUITY

Payment is due in full at the time of service, your deposit will be deducted from your final balance at the time of service. We accept cash and all major credit cards. When paying with cash please keep in mind that exact change may not always be available. When paying with a credit card, the name on your ID must match the name on the credit card. Gift Cards are also available for purchase in the studio. No refunds will be issued for services already rendered, fees, deposits, gift cards, products, or discounted offers. Gift cards have no cash value. Deposits are non-refundable. When canceling/rescheduling with at least a 24hr notice the deposit can be transferred only once and used as a credit towards another service.

 

REFUND POLICY

You are paying for artist time, product and other expenses used to provide you with a service. No refunds will be given for any reason on services, deposits, fees, gift cards, packages, or products. If you are unhappy with a service, you may contact us within 72 hours of your appointment to discuss your concerns and if a fix can be done to address your concerns, it will be done so with a complimentary 30-minute express touch-up if it is at the fault of application or product. Any concerns addressed after 72 hours of your last appointment, or if you failed to follow the proper aftercare instructions, will be charged at full price for the service. Gift Cards can be redeemed for services only. Gift cards have no cash value. *Deposits are non-refundable. When canceling/rescheduling with at least a 24hr notice the deposit can be transferred only once and used as a credit towards another service.*

 

Packages

All packages expire 1 year after the purchase date. All sessions included in your package must be used within 1 year of the purchase date. There are no refunds on packages.
